An Elegant Bridal Editorial

Bride holding a calla lily bouquet at Thicket Priory

From the moment we heard about LV Bridal we knew a collaboration would be something special. Having previously created the wedding flowers for Lauren’s own wedding, it felt so lovely to work together again following the opening of her luxury bridal boutique in the historic city of York.

After we decided on the colour scheme we knew that we wanted a venue that was local to the both of us and that would suit a modern classic editorial. A venue with elegant interiors, beautiful architecture and secluded Yorkshire surroundings. We knew straight away that Thicket Priory would be the perfect setting. And since Lauren was actually married here it made it all the more special.

The overall design was layered and textural, combining delicate grasses and ferns with sculptural calla lillies, fritileries and alliums. Soft, delicate movement was contrasted with minimal floral forms to create a modern, design-led aesthetic.

Flowing fabric installations were introduced within the gardens of Thicket Priory, bringing movement and an ethereal quality to the settings and creating a beautiful dialogue between the floral's, fabric and historic surroundings.

Once all the suppliers were on board, Grace Eva Cakes, Annalise Rose Photography, Stories of Events, Chin Chin Cocktails & Maed Events we knew we had something special with some of Yorkshires finest creatives
